Good Afternoon,

We enjoyed getting to see a lot of new and returning faces last week and look forward to meeting even more of you these upcoming practices! I have a bit of an update to share with everyone regarding team captains and our meet schedule.

Meets have all been uploaded into our swimtopia calendar. We have not opened RSVPs yet but we will let you all know as soon as we do. I wanted to make sure everyone had the meet schedule as early as possible. A reminder about meets: attendance is not required but highly encouraged. Once RSVPs close, no changes may be made to the meet itself so please make sure you are keeping up with deadlines. I will be sending reminders out before each meet about RSVPs to make sure everyone is kept up to date. Please take a moment sometime this week to look over the schedule and see when we will be competing.

Team captains will be decided slightly differently than in years past. Moving forward, we will be using an application to help the coaches decide who the captains will be. We will be having 4 captains, just like last year, 3 captains will be decided by the coaches based on the application we receive. The final captain will be decided by a team vote from the candidates who submit their application to the coaches. Attached is the application form. The applications will be due October 12th at 11:59pm. As this date is almost a month away, no late applications will be accepted. All high schoolers are welcome to apply. Please submit all applications to [email protected]. Captains will be chosen on October 23rd via email.
