Congratulations to Lucy Evers and Connor Daniels for achieving state cuts in the preliminary session this morning. We have several swimmers who are very close to state cuts so the finals session tonight will be very exciting.

High School Finals Session 

4:45 PM- HVA Finalists Arrive (Top 16 + 17-18 Alternates) to Allan Jones Aquatic Center

5:00 - 5:10 PM Coaches’ Meeting 

5:10 - 5:50 PM Swimming warm-up for finals 

6:00 PM Swimming Finals Competition and Awards

High School Sessions: The high school swimming competition will follow a Preliminary session / Final session format. The Final session will be swum as two heats, Consolation and Final, for each event. The eight fastest times in each preliminary event will qualify to swim that event in Finals. The ninth through sixteenth fastest times in each preliminary event will qualify to swim that event in the Consolation finals. The seventeenth and eighteenth fastest times in each preliminary will be listed as alternates in the heat sheet for finals. The Consolation heat (9-16) will swim first followed by the Final heat (top 1-8). The 500-yard Freestyle will be swum as a “prelim/finals" event, a consolation heat (9-16) and a Final heat (top 1-8). For the high school Finals session, alternates should report to the Deck Referee prior to the event being called to the blocks
