HVA Aquatics 10/10 Update
We will follow our regular practice schedule this week during Knox County’s Fall Break
TEAM FEES: Please pay your fees by October 15th See the attachment or team website for information on how to pay your fees. You cannot be entered in the first meet until your fees have been paid.
MEET SIGN UPS: Our first meet is on Oct 31st and online meet and volunteer sign-ups are OPEN! Please follow the directions below to let the coaches know if you will be attending or not.
RSVP Attending OR Not Attending a Swim Meet:
- Go the HVA swim website https://hardinvalleyaquatics.swimtopia.com/ and log into your account
- On the home page you will see “Upcoming Events” on the right hand side (or you can follow the “Calendars” link and choose “Sign up Calendar”).
- Click the green MEET ENTRY tab for the meet, and then click the blue Edit tab under your athletes' names.
- For each of your athletes, select an option from the drop down list next to their names.

- Click Save to record your choices.
To sign up for your Volunteer Shift:
- Go the HVA swim website https://hardinvalleyaquatics.swimtopia.com/ and log into your account
- On the home page you will see “Upcoming Events” on the right hand side (or you can follow the “Calendars” link and choose “Sign up Calendar”)
- Click the green JOB SIGNUP tab and sign up for volunteer shifts (note one parent may sign up both parents for jobs -- scroll down and you’ll see the other parent listed).
- Click Save Assignments.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE: Middle & High School swimmers practice at the same time. All practices are at Allan Jones Aquatic Center on UT campus (2200 Andy Holt Avenue 37916) – UT requires masks be worn inside the building
- Monday: 7:45-9:15 (dryland exercises first, swimming from 8:15-9:15)
- Tuesday: 7:15-8:45 (dryland exercises first, swimming from 7:45-8:45)
- Wednesday: 7:45-9:15 (dryland exercises first, swimming from 8:15-9:15)
- Thursday: 7:15-8:45 (dryland exercises first, swimming from 7:45-8:45)
EQUIPMENT & APPAREL:
- SWIM & TRI – equipment, swim suits, goggles, etc.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A MEET OFFICIAL?
From KISL - It is required that all persons who will be serving as Starter, or Stroke & Turn Judge at a KISL swim attend a KISL Officials Clinic at least once every two years and Referees must attend every year. Additionally, the clinics are an excellent way for parents and other interested persons to learn the technical rules of competitive swimming, the rules and techniques for judging and starting, and other swim meet procedures. We have scheduled a number of clinics on various dates, times, and locations for the convenience of team workers and parents, Please feel free to attend any of these sessions. Please check the KISL website (www.kisl-swim.com) for updates to this schedule
