Oak Ridge Civic Center COVID-19 Restrictions/Regulations:
~All coaches, officials, and helpers must wear a mask at all times. Swimmers must wear a mask until they get to the starting blocks and then may lay it on the blue bench on the wall behind the blocks. The swimmer must put the mask back on as they exit the water. They must wear masks in the gym while waiting for events. All swimmers are required to bring 2 masks.
~A copy of the Oak Ridge Civic Center Covid-19 Practice Protocol and Waiver (attached) must be signed and dated by each swimmer, coach, and parent. These forms must be submitted upon entrance into the facility which is also when each person’s temperature will be checked. No one will be allowed in unless they have the signed form and have a temperature of 100°F or lower.
~Locker rooms are for restroom use and will be limited to no more than 6 swimmers at a time. There will be no changing or showering before/during/after the meet. Swimmers are to arrive and leave in swim suits. Teams will be housed in the gym and will enter/exit to the pool deck via the locker rooms.
~Due to Covid-19 the only people allowed in the pool area are the swimmers, coach, and signed-up workers (non-working parents may stay in the gym and watch the meet on their phones via our YouTube channel). All swimmers, coaches, and workers will enter the Civic Center through the Southwest door next to the parking lot that is located in front of the new Senior Center building. This will grant you direct access to the gymnasium for setting up chairs before warmups.
~The gymnasium is attached to the pool deck via both boy and girl locker rooms. The gym will have a curtain separating each team’s designated seating/waiting area with the visitors being on the backside of the gym behind the ORHS designated area. There will be a small walking path for the visitors to walk along to keep separation from the other team while going from pool area to seating area. Swimmers will need to bring camping-type chairs to sit in between events but must sit 6 or more feet apart (plenty of room for this).
~The next heat of swimmers will be housed in the locker room between the gym and the pool deck. Heats will be called to line up to enter the locker room for holding until race time. All flow around the pool deck will be clockwise to keep social distancing between ending heats and the next heat.
