Hawks,

Our first meet has arrived! Thank you to everyone for signing up -- even coming off of spring break we have excellent attendance!

Please arrive at the SAC at 12:50pm (wearing masks and swim suits under your clothes). I will post everyone's events on a wall inside the building, and we will warm up as a team for about twenty minutes before the meet starts.

Our meets with West are always very close. When you are not swimming or preparing to swim, I expect you to be encouraging your teammates and cheering (especially upperclassmen and club swimmers). While I always take into account a swimmer's strengths and preferences, please note that my primary goal when choosing events/relays is to create the strongest line-up that gives HVA the best chance to win. 

Along with fantastic meet attendance and clutch swims, this has helped HVA to be undefeated over the last two seasons. Please keep this in mind if you don't get your exact first, second, third, and fourth favorite entries (of course you are welcome to discuss your entries with me before the meet begins, so long as you approach the conversation with the understanding that your entries are what they are for a reason).

I do not expect the meet to go beyond 4:00pm. It could even be shorter. Let's unleash a concentrated flurry of Hawk energy this Sunday, and start this season's competitions off with a bang!
